A Princeton man will spend the next four decades behind bars. Forty-seven-year-old Anthony Enriquez Apodaca was sentenced to 40 years in prison after a Posey County jury found him guilty of dealing methamphetamine. The verdict came at the end of a three-day trial last month. Prosecutors say that once the jury returned its initial guilty verdicts, they heard additional evidence and ruled Apodaca is a habitual offender under Indiana law, based on his prior convictions. Apodaca was convicted of dealing meth, possession of meth, and possession of paraphernalia. Court records show he was arrested in September of 2023 after law enforcement received a tip that he was transporting a large amount of meth along Interstate 64 in Posey County.
