MSD of North Posey shared a solar energy update on Facebook yesterday.  They say that solar panels are being installed on their school grounds. These panels will provide clean, renewable energy directly to the schools, helping offset electricity costs and operate more efficiently. Once fully up and running, the system is expected to save nearly $100,000 each year. Officials say these saving can go right back into supporting students and classrooms. MSD of North Posey also says that it’s important to note that these projects are not commercial solar farms and are not designed to supply power to the larger electrical grid. Their purpose is simple and that is to help the school’s lower costs and promote sustainability.
