North Posey Vikings Football VS Tecumseh 08-29-25

The North Posey Vikings dominated from start to finish in a 34–0 shutout win over the Tecumseh Braves at Braves Field.

This marks the third straight year the Vikings have held Tecumseh scoreless.

Scoring Recap

  • 1st Quarter

    • Bret Buecher opened the scoring with a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown (kick good by Ethan Ashby).

    • With 41 seconds left in the quarter, Remy Johnson hauled in a 34-yard trick-play pass from Camden Flowers. Ashby added the extra point, making it 14–0.

  • 2nd Quarter

    • Ethan Ashby extended the lead with a 33-yard field goal at 3:29.

    • Just before halftime, Ashby hit again from 32 yards, giving North Posey a 20–0 lead at the break.

  • 3rd Quarter

    • Johnson struck again, this time on a 37-yard touchdown reception from Carter Schickel. Ashby’s PAT made it 27–0 heading into the fourth.

  • 4th Quarter

    • Brody Wagner delivered the exclamation point, catching an 80-yard bomb from Schickel. Ashby’s kick capped the scoring at 34–0 with 10:11 to play.

Defensive Standouts

  • Bret Buecher not only scored on defense with his pick-six but also contributed tackles, kick returns, and offensive plays, showing his versatility.

  • Landon Crawford led the charge up front with eight tackles and a fumble recovery, setting the tone for the defense.

  • Other key contributors included Xavier Eppley (7 tackles), Brayden Alpers (5), Cole Kissel (5), and Zeke Roosevelt (5).

Special Teams & All-Around Play
