Ruth Ellen House
Ruth Ellen House, age 70, of Evansville, passed away March 12, 2026, at the Heritage Center in Evansville. She was born April 11, 1955, in Evansville, to Clarence Harold and Anna Lou Hess.
Ruth worked as a registered nurse for 20 years at St. Mary’s Hospital and later for 10 years at Good Samaritan. She enjoyed Christmas, playing bingo, and watching the Hallmark Channel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harold Hess.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Lori Crawford; her son, Ricky House; her sister, Sharon Peyton; her brothers, Benny Hess and Ron Hess; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration gathering will be held Sunday afternoon, March 15, from 1:00 until 4:00 at Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville. Burial will take place at a later date in Bethsaida Cemetery near Stewartsville for Ruth Ellen House.
