MSD North Posey Food Services posted on Facebook today that they are starting an exciting new program at North Posey High School. You will have the opportunity to purchase an After School Grab-n-Go pack for your student, if they are staying after school. The Grab-n-Go pack will have a choice of a Ham/Turkey sandwich, a bag of chips, and bottle of water. The cost of the pack is 5 dollars and will come out of the student’s lunch account. The student must have the funds in their account before the pack is made. The order from is located on the High School website. All orders must be submitted by 9:00 am the day the Grab-n-Go pack is needed. The completed packs will be available for pick up at 3:00 pm in the refrigerator in the Teachers’ lounge and the Coach/Sponsor will have access to the lounge.

 

Some EVSC students and Evansville police officers are heading to the happiest place on earth. Cops Connecting with Kids left from the CK Newsome Center this morning. They are spending the week at Disney World. Officials say this takes place every year to build positive relationships between members of the law enforcement and the youth in their communities.

 

Five-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan announced his 2023 touring plans today, which include a stop in Evansville. According to a press release, the launch of the 36-city “Country On Tour” kicks off in Syracuse, NY, on June 15th, 2023. Officials say Luke Bryan’s “Country On Tour” will make a stop at the Ford Center in Evansville on August 25th, 2023. Several special guests are set to make appearances throughout the tour as well. Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Lukebryan.com. According to a press release, ticket presale for Luke’s fan club members begins tomorrow at 8:00 am through Thursday, Feb 2nd at 5:00 pm.

 

Coming up this evening on 106.7 FM WMVI, it’s another edition of the Mt. Vernon Basketball Coaches Show. The show will be broadcasted live from 6:00-6:30 PM at United Fidelity Bank in Mt. Vernon. One of the radio voices of the Wildcats, Allen Buck, will host the show and chat with Coach Newcomb. Mt. Vernon Boys Basketball beat Tell City at home on Friday, 70-41 and lost at Pike Central on Saturday, 60-52. The Wildcats are 8-10 on the season and play host to Princeton this Thursday night at 7:30 PM.
