Harmonie State Park is having their Craft Fair this Saturday, October 1st from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. There will be more than 100 craft vendors, along with food trucks and concessions. The Fair will also have crafts for kids, live music, bounce houses, face painting, pony rides, and pioneer activities.

 

It’s just days away from the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. Officials released from more details into this year’s half pot. Those booths will be back along West Franklin Street. They open at 10 a.m. Monday and run through 10 p.m. every day next week. Next Saturday those booths open at 8 a.m. and close at 2 p.m. The winner will be drawn at 8 p.m. Saturday. Ticket prices are one for $5, three for $10, 20 for $20, 50 for $40 and 150 for $100. You must be 18 and older to enter.

Tomorrow night is Week 7 of the High School Football season across the tri-state. The North Posey Vikings who are ranked 16th in the Class 2A AP Poll will travel to Forest Park for a 6:30 PM kickoff. North Posey is 4-2 on the season and Forest Park is 1-5. As always, Jordan Fisher will have the radio call on 98.9 FM WPIW and online at poseycountyradio.com.

Mt. Vernon Football who is 4-2 on the year has a tough road game tomorrow night at Gibson Southern. The Titans are 6-0 on the season and ranked 2nd in the Class 3A AP Poll. Local Sports Tonight:

- Mt. Vernon continues to host the Boys Tennis Sectional as tonight is the 2nd round. Mt. Vernon plays Reitz at 4:30 PM and North Posey takes on Mater Dei at 4:30 PM. Congratulations to Vikings Senior Max Renshaw on his undefeated regular season going 20-0.

- Mt. Vernon Girls Soccer is at home taking on Central at 5:30 PM. 

- North Posey Volleyball plays for a 3rd-straight evening as they welcome Forest Park. The Varsity match will start around 6:30 or 7:00 PM.

- University of Evansville Women's Soccer is home on campus as they play host to Northern Iowa for a MVC match at 6:00 PM. Purple Aces are 1-5-3 overall and 0-2-1 in MVC play.
