The Mt. Vernon Police Department posted on Facebook that at 8:45 PM last night they finished assisting the Indiana State Police and US Marshals Service on a high-risk warrant service in the 600 block of Mulberry Street. They said they have the suspect in custody, and no one was injured. The operation required a large area for staging and a MVHS parking lot was used. There was never any threat to or issue at the school, but the police department had received many messages about all the vehicles being there and they wanted to clear the air for the community. The police department says everything went very smoothly and the teamwork was phenomenal.
