News:

The German Township Water District says that there is a boil advisory for an area that includes Old Highway 62 from Ford Road to West Franklin Road, south to Smith Diamond Road, and east to Posey County Line Road. Customers in that area should bring tap water to a complete boil for at least five minutes before using it for cooking or drinking until the advisory is lifted. The water district issued the advisory after a water main was damaged in the area of West Franklin and Farm Way roads. It caused a temporary drop in water pressure or a complete service interruption, creating a possibility of contamination.

Court officials say former Evansville Parks Director Brian Holtz was sentenced to one year of probation on Tuesday. Holtz was charged back in April of 2022, after he resigned as the director of the parks department amid an investigation into irregular invoices.
