Evansville Regional Airport is looking to make flying out of the Tri-State easier and more accessible in the years ahead. Airport officials shared plans for future investments during a Rotary meeting called EVV Live. A major focus is improving accessibility for travelers. The airport launched Good Maps in March to help people who are blind or visually impaired navigate the terminal. Officials say the resource can also benefit neurodivergent travelers and provide visual landmarks for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. The airport is also seeing lower ticket prices. Domestic fares have dropped 11 percent over the past year. Officials say increased demand for flights from Evansville, both for business and leisure travel, is helping keep fares competitive. Airport officials say continued investment will help the airport remain a top performer in the region. They also say those improvements can bring more jobs, attract travelers and help strengthen the local community.
Evansville Water and Sewer Utility customers will soon see a change in how they receive their monthly bills. EWSU officials say beginning in November, paperless billing will become the utility’s preferred way to deliver monthly bills. Customers who enroll in paperless billing will receive their bills electronically and can access their complete billing information through the MyWater EWSU online customer portal and app. Officials say the change is part of an effort to provide customers with a more convenient billing experience while making responsible use of utility resources. The transition will not affect water or sewer service, billing amounts or payment due dates. Customers will also continue to have access to the utility’s available payment options.
