Sheriff Tom Latham Press Conference 04-13-23
The Posey County Sheriff's department has a suspect in the death of a Mount Vernon man. Posey County Sheriff Tom Latham says Andrew Vibbert was found face down in the bedroom of his South Saint Philips Road residence back in February. Sheriff deputies found a baggie with a white substance and a coroner's report confirming Vibbert was positive for Fentanyl and Xylazine which is a tranquilizer for large animals. Following a joint investigation by several law enforcement agencies, including the D.E.A, twenty-seven-year-old Isaiah Fellows of Evansville was arrested Thursday morning. He faces a Level One felony charge of dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death, a twenty-to-forty-year sentence if convicted. The investigation is ongoing.
