The University of Evansville is teaming up with Grace College to create a fast-track opportunity for students pursuing careers in athletic training and physical therapy. Under a new partnership announced this week, high-achieving Grace students will be able to apply for early admission into UE’s Master of Science in Athletic Training and Doctor of Physical Therapy programs after completing their sophomore year. School officials say students who maintain at least a three-point-five GPA will be eligible to apply for direct entry into the programs. The agreement allows up to five students each year into the athletic training program and up to three students into the physical therapy program, with admission based on GPA, interviews, and faculty recommendations. Students will complete a structured 62-credit curriculum during their first two years at Grace College, while advisors from both schools work together to ensure all prerequisite requirements are met. University of Evansville officials say the partnership is designed to create a seamless transition for students pursuing advanced healthcare degrees.

The NFL schedule is finally out, and last night Indianapolis Colts fans learned that the start of the season won’t be easy. The Colts will open the season at home against the Baltimore Ravens at Lucas Oil Stadium and then they travel to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Two. This immediately puts Shane Steichen’s team in the national spotlight after last year’s late-season collapse. Indianapolis finished 8-and-9 after starting 8-and-2, extending the franchise’s playoff drought to five straight seasons. The schedule includes several marquee matchups, including home games against the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals, plus road trips to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The Colts will also face division rivals Houston, Jacksonville, and Tennessee twice as usual.  One of the biggest highlights comes in Week Four, when Indianapolis heads overseas for an international showdown against the Washington Commanders in London. It’ll be the Colts’ third European game in four seasons and their first trip to London since 2016. The NFL also handed Indianapolis two primetime games this season, including the franchise’s first Thursday Night Football appearance since 2022. Despite the tough start to the season, the Colts are projected to have one of the league’s easier schedules based on last season’s records, giving fans hope this could finally be the year Indianapolis returns to postseason football.
