The Posey County Health Department says they happy to announce that they are able to provide vaccines for everyone that may require them. Through a partnership with Vaxcare, the health department is able to provide vaccines for those that have insurance coverage as well as those without insurance coverage. Previously the health department only provided vaccines for those with insurance coverage for vaccines, or those on the VFC program. So, if you need vaccines and are not able to get them through your healthcare provider, pharmacies, or other locations…they say to contact the health department to schedule a time to get your vaccines. This includes vaccines for infants, children, adolescents, and adults. To schedule a time for vaccines and to make sure they have in stock the vaccines that you will be needing…you are to call the health department at 812-838-1328.

Lane closures will be coming to the Lloyd Expressway soon as part of the Lloyd4U project. The Indiana Department of Transportation says that beginning on or around May 28th, crews will begin lane closures on eastbound S.R. 62 from the Posey County Line Road to Schutte Road. The lane closures will allow crews to reinforce the outside shoulders of S.R. 62 with fresh pavement to accommodate future Lloyd4U traffic shifts. INDOT says shoulder strengthening will occur in two-mile sections as work progresses eastward to Barker Avenue. This phase of work is expected to take a month to complete, weather permitting. TheLloyd4U includes more than a dozen improvement projects along the Lloyd Expressway, extending from one end of Vanderburgh County to the other, from Posey County Line Road to Cross Pointe Boulevard.
