On April 1, EWSU will implement a water rate hike to pay for the construction of a new water treatment facility. Utility officials say an average customer who uses 5,000 gallons of water per month will see the water portion of their bill go up from $50.05 in 2023 to $53.15 in 2024. A few years ago, the IURC approved the EWSU’s plan to increase water rates in phases through 2026.
