Red Cross is partnering with students at University of Southern Indiana to provide a class that might just save your life. This is a hands-only CPR class and it’s meant to teach a skill that Red Cross officials say can double the rate of survival if someone is experiencing a cardiac emergency. USI nursing students will be teaching the training course. The course takes 30 minutes to complete. There are multiple sessions happening on Saturday February 17th from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

The Evansville Regional Airport is expanding their air service as Allegiant Air announced 10 new nonstop routes. The new air service is expected to provide direct flights between Evansville and the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. This covers several key destinations in Florida like Destin, Tampa, and Orlando.  It’s to offer passengers a more convenient travel option for as low as $45 and reduces the need for connecting flights. The addition of new air service not only benefits travelers but also has significant economic implications for the region. It can attract new businesses, stimulate job growth, and drive tourism, ultimately contributing to the overall expansion of the community. The new air routes are expected to launch this June.
